Description:
The Central College program has been in Merida, the capital of the state of Yucatan, since 1968. CCA in Merida really allows students to choose their level of immersion into the language and culture with different housing options and coursework options. Spanish language courses, and a wide variety of electives taught in English and Spanish are available through CCA courses and through our affiliations with local universities. Expect dramatic development of language and cross cultural skills with all the support of our on-site director.

* On-site program director * Instruction in English and Spanish * Advanced Spanish speakers may take courses from three local universities * Internships and service learning opportunities available * Many excursions/cultural events included; Past excursions included visits to Mayan ruins, surrounding colonial towns and local beaches. * Housing in Central College's house, a restored governor's mansion, or homestay.
