Description:
This program is designed for undergraduate and graduate students interested in international business, marketing, finance, management, economics, commerce law, foreign policy and Latin American relations as well as the Spanish language, Mexican society and Latin American culture. Coursework is supplemented with field trips, a 3-credit Academic Tour, and an internship at a local business, organization, law firm or governmental agency. The program includes extensive sightseeing and cultural excursions in Mexico. All courses and field trips are conducted in English. Students can earn up to 16 credit units towards their undergraduate or graduate degree. Transcripts are issued by Alliant International University, accredited in the United States. (Note: Knowledge of Spanish is not required.)

Host Institution: Alliant International University is recognized as a leading private university in Mexico, with exceptional schools of business and international relations. AIU is located in the heart of Mexico City near the historic center, business district and governing bodies. Enrollment is 6,500 students, from around the world, and the language of instruction on campus is English. AIU's Mexico City campus was established in 1970 to promote global understanding in Latin America. Mexico City is the financial and political capital of Mexico and Central America. Courses: This program offers a wide selection of English-taught courses in international business, marketing, finance, management, economics, commerce law, foreign policy and Latin American relations. Courses in the liberal arts, psychology, Spanish, Portuguese, Latin American studies, and environmental studies are also available. Students take 2 LABLD core courses, and the 3-credit Academic Tour. All other courses are optional. Academic Tour: Each term, students participate in a KEI Academic Tour, which provides in-depth knowledge and first-hand experience about Mexican and Latin American culture, history, business and politics. Academic Tours include extensive travel in Mexico with a professor from AIU. Students earn 3 credits for academic work done in conjunction with the Academic Tour. Excursions: Each term, the program includes field trips in Mexico City including the Templo Mayor, the Zocalo, Cathedral & Palacio Nacional, Museum of Anthropology, Castillo de Chapultepec, Coyoacan, Xochimilco, Basilica de Guadalupe and Pyramids of Teotihuacan. A weekend excursion to one of the following locations is also included in the program: Puebla, Tlaxcala, Cuernavaca, Tepoztlan, San Miguel de Allende, Queretaro, Guanajuato, Veracruz, Morelia & Patzcuaro, Villages of Metepec, Malinalco & Chalma, Oaxaca, Chichen Itza, Merida or Cancun. Living: Students reside in student apartments, located in the vibrant Colonia Roma section of Mexico City. The apartments are conveniently situated 15 minutes from the University campus, 5 minutes from the metro and bus stations, and 15 minutes from Downtown.

Cost Include Description:
The tuition for the Fall or Spring term is $7,600; Academic Year (Fall and Spring) is $13,990; Summer session I or II is $3,720; Summer session I and II is $5,980. Program tuition includes academics, textbooks, internship placement and supervision, up to 16 college or graduate credits, accommodations, on-site support, medical and travel insurance, mobile phone, airport welcome and transfer, field trips, and sightseeing and cultural excursions in Mexico. All forms of federal, state and local financial aid and scholarship awards can be applied towards the program tuition.
