Study abroad for a year, semester or summer electing courses from the general course offerings of The American University in Cairo. AUC enrolls almost 6000 students and offers the largest number of courses on Egypt, Islam, the Middle East and Arab world taught in English of any institution in the world. While most students are local Egyptians, over 90 countries are represented by the student body at this truly international campus.
Highlights:
AUC is accredited in the United States; its Engineering and Computer Science programs are professionally accredited. Following the structure of an American university, AUC offers a broad choice of liberal arts and professional courses. It has in place student support systems that include an international student support office, residential housing, advising, counseling and medical services. Sports programs and extra curricular clubs are an important part of student life. Travel opportunities are plentiful.

Scholarships are Available. - Yes Highly qualified study abroad students interested in an Egyptology concentration for the fall or spring semesters, may apply before April 15 for a Simpson Scholarship in Egyptology.
