Welcome to the Summer in Madrid program with ACCENT. ACCENT works with American colleges and universities to provide a challenging academic program with extensive overseas support. ACCENT's Summer in Madrid programs offer courses such as Spanish Grammar and Conversation classes at the Universidad Complutense, or Art History, Architectural History and Spanish culture classes with local and visiting faculty. In addition to the academic program, the ACCENT Madrid Center staff organizes a cultural activities series and provides support and guidance to students studying abroad. Participants on the Summer in Madrid program earn transferable college credit through the sponsoring American college or university.
Highlights:
ACCENT is a study abroad organization that works with over 40 colleges and universities to provide academically challenging and culturally enriching overseas study programs. ACCENT has fully-staffed Centers in Paris, Florence, London, and Madrid that serve as a home base to program participants. The San Francisco Center assists students with enrollment and predeparture preparation. The staff in all five ACCENT Centers has extensive personal experience in travel and overseas study, and is available to answer questions throughout the program. The ACCENT Madrid Center is located in the heart of Madrid, in the Puerta del Sol area, near the Puerta de Alcaly and the Gran Vya. The ACCENT office and classrooms are located within the facilities of the Don Quijote language school. The study center provides a student lounge, a library, and a computer room with internet access. The ACCENT Center is open during the week for students to use the resource and lending library, ask questions and collect their mail. The ACCENT Madrid staff is also available to assist students in organizing independent travel to Bilbao or other destinations following the completion of the program.
