Description:
Spend the Summer in Rome with ACCENT and the Coast Community College District (Orange Coast College). Explore Italian monuments, churches, museums and galleries, as Rome becomes an extension of your classroom while you attend language classes at the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci or at the ACCENT Center with CCCD faculty. Participants on the Summer in Rome Program live in double/triple occupancy rooms in shared student apartments within a student residence. ACCENT Rome Center staff also provide support and guidance to students studying abroad.
Highlights:
Cultural learning is an integral part of the Summer in Rome program. Guided visits of the following museums and historical sites are part of the program for all students: Piazza Navona, Campo dei Fiori, Pantheon, Piazza di Spagna, Colosseum, Roman Forum, Capitoline Hill, the Vatican Museums and St. Peters Basilica. A one-day excursion outside of Rome to Orvieto and a three-day/two-night excursion to Florence, are also included in the program and provide entry costs, guides and transportation. An optional three-day/two-night excursion to Venice with hotel, transportation and guide is available as well (USD 510). Excursions are chosen based on the academic curriculum and are subject to change.
