Welcome to the Summer in Florence program with ACCENT. This programme works with American colleges and universities to provide a challenging academic program with extensive overseas support. On the Summer in Florence program, participants live in student apartments while attending Italian grammar and conversation classes at the Scuola Leonardo da Vinci, as well as Italian culture lectures with visiting and local faculty. In addition to the academic program, the ACCENT Florence Center staff organizes a series of cultural activities and provides support and guidance to students studying abroad. Participants on the Summer in Florence program earn transferable college credit through the sponsoring American college or university.
Highlights:
ACCENT is a study abroad organization that works with over 40 colleges and universities to provide academically challenging and culturally enriching overseas study programs. ACCENT has fully staffed Centers in Paris, Florence, London and Madrid that serve as a home base to program participants. The San Francisco Center assists students with enrollment and predeparture preparation. The staff in all five ACCENT Centers has extensive personal experience in travel and overseas study and is available to answer questions throughout the program. The fully staffed ACCENT Florence Center, located in the historic city center near the Piazza del Duomo, serves as a home base to program participants. The ACCENT Center is open during the week for students to use the resource and lending library, ask questions, collect their mail and take advantage of a variety of other student services.

Cost Include Description:
* Double room in a shared student apartment in Florence, double/triple/ quad rooms on overnight excursion
* One to two day excursions to Italian destinations such as Siena, San Gimignano, Fiesole, Pisa and Lucca including transportation and guided visits
* Three-day, two-night excursion to Venice or Rome, including transportation, hotel stay and guided visits
* Cultural activity series including three evening ballet or concert performances
* Orientation program and walking tour of Florence
* Overseas information and resource center with ACCENT Florence on-site staff
* Transfers from and to the Italian airport for group flight participants
* International Student Identity Card with limited overseas travel and accident insurance
