Description: Youth For Understanding (YFU) International exchange, an educational, nonprofit organization, prepares young people for their opportunities and responsibilities in a changing, interdependent world. With YFU, high school students and recent graduates can choose a year, semester, or summer program in one of more than 35 countries worldwide.

Highlights: When the plane arrives in Caracas, Venezuela's capital city, you will see a modern city in a colorful valley. The people you meet will welcome you warmly, Venezuelans enjoy introducing visitors to the charms and richness of their country.

While living with your host family you will attend high school, where you get to choose from humanities or science tracks. While courses are academically challenging and some are mandatory, you will also have the opportunity to set your own study goals and select subjects of your interest.

13th Year Abroad
The traditional Academic Year program is also available as a 13th Year Abroad option. College credit can possibly be earned while on any 13th Year Abroad YFrogram.
