"SUNY Brockport study abroad programs are for students matriculated in the US only, US students only."
Highlights:
Located 45 miles to the north of Edinburgh, St. Andrews is best known as the birthplace of golf, and the seaside town is distinguished by two institutions, the Royal and Ancient Golf Club and the University of St. Andrews. The town and thus the university receive their name from the relics of Saint Andrew, which were brought to the shores of Scotland by a Greek monk during the early Middle Ages. Today the town is a living museum of ancient castle and cathedral walls, century's old stone houses and golf's most infamous course. Founded in 1410, the University of St. Andrews is the oldest university in Scotland, and the third oldest in the UK. Today it ranks among Britain's top 10 Universities according to The Times. St. Andrews is not a campus university, rather, it is closely integrated with the town and academic buildings and student housing are interspersed among shops, pubs and residential housing. On average, one in every three people in the town are involved with the university, and the ancient tradition still holds that if three or more university students are walking in their formal scarlet robes, all activity, whether it be traffic or golf, must stop and allow them to pass. It is truly a 'university town'.
