Description:
The SUNY Brockport Program at Middlesex University is a one-semester program offered in both the fall and spring semester. Designed primarily for upper-division (junior/senior year) students matriculated at American colleges or universities, this Overseas Academic Program is sponsored by the Office of International Education at the State University of New York College at Brockport. The SUNY Brockport Program at Middlesex University provides an opportunity for American undergraduates to become, during their semester of participation, actual Middlesex University undergraduates to attend the same classes, to live in the same housing, to participate in the same social, cultural, athletic, sporting and academic extracurricular activities as their British counterparts. Therefore the SUNY Middlesex Program is best described as a 'Full Integration' overseas academic program. In this aspect, this program is markedly different from overseas programs in which American students are taught in classes which enroll only American students. "SUNY Brockport study abroad programs are for students matriculated in the US only, US students only."
Highlights:
A student in Brockport's Middlesex program, you will only be a 30-40 minute subway ride away from London's West End theatre district, the museums and art galleries of central London, and the Tower of London, Houses of Parliament and Big Ben. Middlesex is a modern, multi-campus university that combines the innovative programs of a large university with the personal feel of small campuses. This atmosphere has helped it attract over 3,000 students from more than 100 countries. The University's diverse student body reflects its missions to serve its local community while welcoming students from across the UK and from many parts of the world. Middlesex's campuses are spread across three northern London boroughs and each has designated academic focus. The diversity and Middlesex's campuses illustrates its history, its many academic strengths and its size.
