Description: Course Content:

This course will give an introduction to the available alternatives to combustion engines, as well as an outlook to the future of drive concepts for vehicle powertrains. Students will learn about alternative fuels, such as alcohol, natural gas or hydrogen. Furthermore we will have a look on fuel cells as well as on electric drives.

Course Scope:
The course is composed of three parts:
1. Lectures: Technical lectures and laboratory courses in modern / alternative vehicle propulsion systems (20 hours per week)
2. Language course: Intensive German course (8 hours per week)
3. Social events

While following an intensive academic program offered by the university's institutes, participants will experience German culture hands-on through an extensive leisure time program. German culture, excursions to companies and cities nearby, sport events, get-togethers with international master students who have graduated in Aachen, cultural events, workshops in intercultural communication and a lot more - enjoy your stay!
