Term: Academic Year, Spring
Dates: Academic Year: Early October-Early August; Spring: Early April-Early August

Description: Study abroad with German and international students at the University of Hohenheim (UHoH), a member of the Euroleague for Life Sciences. Designed for students in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences (CALS), the university carries out work in research and teaching in the service of mankind, economy and society, health and nutrition, sustainable agriculture and landscape conservation, the service economy and communications. It is a modern university with over 20 courses of study for 6,000 students from almost 200 countries.

The University of Hohenheim is situated in the south of Stuttgart, the state capital of Baden-Wurttemberg, and is housed in and around the historical premises of Hohenheim Castle. It is surrounded by a modern campus, a Botanic and Exotic Garden and three museums. The expansive green spaces make the University campus one of the most attractive in Germany.

Students may have the opportunity to live in a private room in the residence halls. These rooms are furnished and provide access to a shared kitchen and bath. Students may also choose to stay in private apartments or rooms off campus and will be provided with resources to help in finding this type of accommodation.

Highlights: An extensive sports and culture program is offered by the General Student Committee, university sports, university music and student groups. Students can play soccer, learn acrobatics, or join the guitar group. The international Student Organization also organizes a variety of social events and outings that provide students with opportunities to get to know each other and to become familiar with Germany.

Because of its location within a Castle, the university is a center for community cultural events as well. Students will be in the midst of festivals, art exhibitions and concerts.

The centre of Stuttgart can be reached in 30 minutes or so on public transport Due to its well-positioned location in the hills on the edge of the city, UHOH is also the ideal starting point for excursions in the surrounding area.
