Study in Warwick, England
England
Term: Academic Year
Dates: Academic Year: Late September-Early January
Description:
Experience British culture while studying abroad at the University of Warwick! This program allows students to directly enroll in university courses in a variety of fields and have the opportunity to live and study alongside British students. Situated on the edge of the city of Coventry on a self-contained campus, the University of Warwick is only a short journey away from major cities and yet close to some of the most scenic countryside in the United Kingdom (UK). Centrally located in the heart of England, and only a short train ride to London, Warwick is well placed to explore both the British Isles as well as mainland Europe. The University of Warwick Accommodations Office arranges housing in a university dormitory on campus. Students live with British and international students in single or double rooms, with either private or shared bathroom facilities. Students prepare meals in kitchens in their dormitory or purchase meals from one of the many campus cafes and restaurants.
Highlights:
Upon arrival in Warwick, students participate in a four-day, orientation program organized by the University of Warwick International Office. Consisting of activities, trips, social events, and information sessions, the orientation is designed to help with adjustment to life in West Midlands and at the university. International Office staff and a UW-Madison graduate student liaison are also available to assist participants throughout the year. The university's student union offers a wide range of activities, including more than 250 clubs and societies, nightclubs, films, music, restaurants, cafes, and bars. Students interested in sports will find a selection of facilities and clubs to play socially, learn a new sport, or join competition. The Warwick Arts Center, one of the largest centers for the performing arts in the UK, offers films, music, theater, opera, and dance performances from top UK and international artists.
