Description: Immerse yourself in Chilean culture while taking courses at the Universidad Austral de Chile (UACh) in the ecological heart of Valdivia! Students will improve and perfect their Spanish skills while taking all courses in Spanish alongside other Chilean and international students. Students can choose from nine different faculties to take classes and three different options of housing in Valdivia.

The province of Valdivia is located in southern Chile in the Region of Lakes and boasts hot water springs, volcanoes and lush rainforests. With an early Spanish colonial past as well as a later history of German colonization the city is vibrant with diversity.

Highlights: The university offers opportunities for students to involve themselves with the UACh Choir, the Folkloric Ballet, the Theatre Company, and the Cinema Club that yearly organizes one of the two most important international film festivals in Chile. Students will also have the opportunity to join recreational sports teams, visit museums and visit the botanical gardens of Valdivia.

Valdivia is bustling with cultural life, quaint German-style streets and exquisite seafood and chocolate faire.
