Description:
Discover the culture and the people of the Dominican Republic and learn more about global education through a short-tem summer abroad program. This service learning program will offer Education majors and other students not only insight into the cultural history of the Dominican Republic, but also an experience of hands-on volunteering and interactions within the diverse educational environments of the local communities. Students will earn 3 credits for EDUC 295 (Special Topics in Education) or SOC 105 (Intercultural Communication).

Cost Include Description:
Roundtrip airfare from NYC area airport, Accommodations (double/triple occupancy), Some meals, All ground transportation abroad, Tour guides, Entrance fees, Comprehensive Travel Insurance, Tuition and fees for 3 Brookdale course credits, Pre-departure orientation session at Brookdale.COSTS NOT INCLUDED: Some meals, Personal expenses, Tips (drivers, guides, porters, maids), Donation for Service Learning Project.
