CIS - Politics and Prose: Scotland and England
England
Scotland
- Other Cities in Scotland:
Stirling
Term: Summer
Dates: Mid June-Early August
Description:
Whether you lean toward history and politics or language and literature, we have a rich and rewarding summer for you (and an opportunity to earn ten credits in seven weeks)! You'll start off with four weeks in Scotland, studying at the University of Stirling, right outside the historical and beautiful city of Stirling. Here you can take two courses (worth 6 U.S. credits) like Green Politics: Theory and Practice or Scottish History: The Covenanters. If your studies are more literary in nature, then you can start off with Creative Writing: Giving Voice. Once you've whet your appetite on Scottish politics or literature, you'll be ready to dive into your courses at the University of Westminster in London. Choose from courses like International Relations in the Contemporary World; Literature London; or Shakespeare: Themes and Presentations. You'll spend your last three weeks here in London and earn four credits. At each university, frequent field trips, guest lectures, and small-group seminars are a regular part of your coursework. What better way to learn about Scotland and England than to experience them as your classroom.
