Study abroad with EuroLearn at Queen Mary, University of London. Queen Mary is one of the largest colleges of the internationally renowned University of London. The College has a student population of over 14,000 students, around 20% of whom are from overseas, contributing to a truly cosmopolitan environment that is extremely welcoming to students from all over the world. Queen Mary is one of London and the UK's leading research-focused higher education institutions. Queen Mary's 3,000 staff deliver world class degree programmes and research across a wide range of subjects in Humanities, Social Sciences and Laws, in Medicine and Dentistry and in Science and Engineering. Studying and living on the Queen Mary campus gives all the benefits of a campus community as well as the limitless opportunities of living in London. The Queen Mary campus is located in the East End of London, one of the oldest and most socially and ethnically diverse areas of the capital. The religious, cultural and ethnic mix displays itself in a huge variety of shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and markets that would be hard to match anywhere else in the UK. EuroLearn is an educational program of GlobaLinks Learning Abroad and a sister program of AustraLearn, a leader in the field of international education with a 20 year history sending over 20,000 students abroad to partner universities in Australia, New Zealand, and the South Pacific. EuroLearn's excellent student services and support will provide you with a successful abroad experience. Our programs are located in unique destinations within the UK, Ireland, and mainland Europe. Most of our partner universities are in smaller towns that offer an intimate connection to the local culture. Plus, our lower program fees will allow you to experience the UK for less. All the essential services are still provided, so you get the best value for your money.
Highlights:
The Students' Union also operates the Provide volunteering programme. Through Provide you can find volunteering opportunities working with a wide variety of organisations and charities in the local area and all over London. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people in the wider community and can greatly enrich your experience of London life. All study abroad participants are guaranteed on-campus housing, mostly in the recently completed, award-winning student village. Optional visits and events are offered during the semester, usually including a trip to a match at one of London's football stadiums. Additional trips around London and the UK are also organized by the College and the Residences, meaning there are plenty of events and trips students can participate in. U.S. University Transcript option is available through our School of Record, University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Participants of this program can attend the 3-4 day Bridging Cultures Program in London approximately 2-5 weeks after arrival. This pre-semester workshop blends lecture, adventure, and culture together for an informative and fun introduction to Europe.
