Description: The program will enable students to learn a great deal about current conditions in Africa, the legacy of colonialism and apartheid, and the efforts underway to break out of underdevelopment. South Africa is a beautiful country with a great coastline, wine country and safari parks. It also has a very powerful busines sector with world-class banks, breweries and mining companies.

Most students enroll in the complete four-week program from June 10 to July 8, 2010. Some students are unable to participate for the full four weeks, due to conflicts with work or class schedules. In that case they may choose to participate in the 3-week or 2-week options.

Highlights: Earn up to 6 credits in 4 weeks while studying in the amazing multi-cultural environment of South Africa. The course will take place at a most exciting time for South Africa: people from all over the world will flock to the main cities for FIFA'a Soccer World Cup! There will be a festive and cosmopolitan atmosphere around the country. Students will be able to watch the most important games on giant screens in the center of town in well organized "Fan Parks".
