The program will enable students to learn a great deal about current conditions in Africa, the legacy of colonialism and apartheid, and the efforts underway to break out of underdevelopment. South Africa is a beautiful country with a great coastline, wine country and safari parks. It also has a very powerful busines sector with world-class banks, breweries and mining companies. Most students enroll in the complete four-week program from June 10 to July 8, 2010. Some students are unable to participate for the full four weeks, due to conflicts with work or class schedules. In that case they may choose to participate in the 3-week or 2-week options.
