Description:
The China Cultural History Tours is a three week tour traveling to Shanghai, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shaolin, Beijing, and Xian. This tour is a completely unique approach to university study abroad which combines visits to major cultural and historical sites with intense academic study of the culture and history being experienced. It is an ideal learning environment because it integrates reading and writing with direct involvement to give a richer understanding of the subject than book learning alone could possibly provide. Travel with experienced faculty and visit more than 7 destinations in China while earning 3-6 hours of college credit in art, history, political science, and/or literature.
Highlights:
The Summer China Cultural History Tour offers students a completely unique approach to university study abroad. The program combines a thorough tour of major cultural and historical sites throughout China with intense academic study of the culture and history being experienced. Thus, experience the Shanghai Museum, the wonderful scenery of Hangzhou, the Mausoleum of Sun Yatsen in Nanjing, the martial arts monastery of Shaolin, the Forbidden City in Beijing, the Great Wall, and the Terra Cotta Warriors in Xian. This program provides an ideal learning environment because you integrate reading and writing with direct involvement to achieve a richer understanding of the subject than book learning alone could possibly provide.
