Description: The Asian Cultural History Tour is a multi-country academic travel-study tour to Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, China, and Tibet lasting 46 days which offer 3-6 hours of credit in subjects such as history, fine arts, political science, and literature. This tour offers an interdisciplinary approach to university study abroad, with experiential learning in major cultural and historical sites in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, China, and Tibet. Instructional delivery is designed to integrate teaching with site visits. Class sessions are usually scheduled around or during the program activities. Lectures are held during museum visits and on sites, thus, providing students with direct experience and unforgettable class sessions. Since this tour travels to many cities in Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, China, and Tibet, it provides a unique opportunity for dialogue between students and faculty to experience travel and program activities. All members of the group travel together, stay in the accommodations provided by the program, and participate in program activities together. The Asian Cultural History Tour provides the opportunity for students to gain both experiential and academic knowledge of the cultures visited during the program.
