Lexia's program is affiliated with The Sorbonne. Founded in 1253, the Sorbonne is one of the oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher education in France. Located near the Luxembourg Gardens in the city center, the Sorbonne is within walking distance of most sites of historical and cultural interest. Its "Cours de Langue et de Civilisation françaises" were created in 1917 for the purpose of teaching French language and culture to foreign students. Language instruction takes place at the Sorbonne with Sorbonne faculty; other classes are held in the other classroom space in central Paris.

Semester/Academic Year Curriculum * Orientation seminar * Four Academic Core Courses: - French Language Course (60-90 hours) - Area Studies Seminar (60 hours) - Research Methods Seminar (30 hours) - Field Research Project (60 hours) - Review and Evaluation * Open to all majors. Students earn up to 16 semester credits (24 quarter credits). Language classes are offered for all levels of proficiency.
