Dates: Fall&Spring Semesters, Summer Term
Description:
John Cabot University is a four-year American university located in Trastevere, a charming and historic neighborhood in the heart of Rome. Students from all over the world come to JCU for a semester abroad, summer session, or to pursue their Bachelor of Arts degrees in Arts and Humanities, Social Sciences or International Business. The neighborhood of Trastevere is quiet and friendly, yet exciting discoveries are around each corner. A thriving community of musicians and artists, Trastevere's gardens and cafes, parks and family businesses give way to the grander scale of the palaces, churches and fountains of Rome. In our increasingly connected world, Rome is an ideal place to study. As the center of the Mediterranean, Rome has riches that are as powerful a lure to scholars today as they have been for millennia. JCU takes advantage of that wealth by offering its modern American university program in the midst of Rome's splendor.
Highlights:
Many Classes held amongst the sites and monuments of Rome. Students live with host families or in apartments in Rome's center. Strong an involved Student Council - frequent school events organized around the city and Italy. Rome is the Eternal City, where history and great art come alive. The Vatican Palace, with its masterpieces by Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo and Raphael. The Pieta, the Bernini Fountains, the Renaissance architecture of St. Peter's Basilica. Archeological sites where ancient cultures are uncovered. This is Rome, a vital European center for religion, business, film, art and fashion.
