Description:
Study in Spain and Morocco with Towson University in Summer 2010. This program will allow participants to explore Islamic history and culture by visiting key sites in both countries. Through visits to a variety of historical and religious sites, students will learn about the history that ties the two regions together and gain an appreciation for the role that they play in the modern state.
Highlights:
Students will spend time in Cordoba, Granada, and Seville in Spain and Fez, Marrakesh, the Ourika Valley, and Tangiers in Morocco. Program highlights include visits to the Alhambra Palace, SalobreƱa beach, Medina Azahara, Arab Baths, Sevilla Cathedral and La Giralda, Torre del oro, El Badi Palace, the Saadian Tombs, Agdal Garden, Tangier American Legation Institute for Moroccan Studies, Gibraltar, the Alcazar, and more.

Cost Include Description:
includes academic credit (3 credits), health insurance, roundtrip airfare, local transportation, accommodation, daily breakfast and two group meals, and excursions. Additional costs include 150 dollars study abroad fee, all other meals, and personal expenses.
