Description:
Participating in the Eilat Hotel Experience is your chance to gain valuable experience within the hotel and hospitality industry. Each Eilat Hotel Experience participant will intern four or five shifts per week in an Isrotel Hotel. Each shift will be approximately 8-9 hours. Intern in an area that suits your interests and specialties and the hotel's needs. Whether you have hotel experience or are new to the industry, learn the ropes in such departments as guest services, restaurant and kitchen staff, entertainment or day care. You also receive a professional uniform to truly embody the hotel industry experience. Note: Because the intern's placements within the hotel(s) will vary, daily schedules will be determined based on the needs of each intern.
Highlights:
Participants enjoy activities that not only cultivate their knowledge and experience in the hotel and hospitality industry, but help them to dive in and deepen their connection to the land, culture, and people of Israel. * 100 credit hours from Ben Gurion University. Supplement your hands-on learning in the hotel with classroom instruction. Participants will receive training in the Hotel & Hospitality industry through Israel's own Ben Gurion University. *100 hours of Ulpan to learn Hebrew while in Israel. * Trips and Special Excursions - From the sands of the Negev to the rolling hills of the Golan Heights, immerse yourself in Israel's diverse landscape. Participants will enjoy touring the country with Oranim - hiking Israel's many trails and visiting historic sights. * Judaism in Israel - Forge a deeper connection with not only the land, but the history and traditions of the Jewish people through discussions with Jewish leaders. * Israel Studies - Learn more about Israel's politics, history, society and culture through frequent lectures- deepening your knowledge of Israel's engaging past. * Volunteering - Give back to others four hours a week in a way that is meaningful and fun for you. * Host Families - a home away from home! Each participant is paired with a host family to enjoy Shabbat dinners and holidays with, forging connections that can last a lifetime.
