Summer Semester in Peru and Mexico
Mexico
Peru
Term: Summer
Description:
ProWorld's multi-country summer semester abroad provides a unique blend of service projects, field research, academic courses, homestay living, and cultural activities. You will participate in community-driven, hands-on development projects like supporting a Zapotec women's weaving cooperative to working on rural health campaigns in Peru's Sacred Valley. You will study with local professors to better understand the history and diversity of both Cusco, Peru and Oaxaca, Mexico, then explore that diversity by visiting rural villages that maintain a centuries-old way of life. You will immerse yourself in the cultures by living with caring and carefully selected local families. ProWorld's Multi-country Summer Semester Program is highly supported by an international staff team and welcoming community partners. ProWorld, founded in 1998, is a true leader in the field of sustainable international development. Projects are chosen based on the needs of communities, specific group interests, and length of program.
