Description: Southern Cross Teacher Training Centre is a division of Southern Cross British Language Centre which is located in a smart building in the heart of the modern business district of Guayaquil. The Teacher Training Centre is open from 7am to 10pm and attracts people who are interested in learning to teach English.

In addition to the CELTA, Southern Cross Teacher Training Centre also offers the Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT) to local teachers.

Southern Cross Teacher Training Centre runs intensive 5 week CELTA courses. These courses are full-time and run between 9am and 5pm from Monday to Friday.

In addition, we sometimes run extensive courses which are part-time and participants attend three days a week between 4pm and 10pm.

Our intensive courses are very popular with those people who are planning to train quickly in order to enter the job market and work their way around Latin America in a set period of time.

The extensive course was originally devised for local teachers who could not afford to give up their job for a month to study full-time. However, we find that the extensive course is also very popular with overseas candidates because it affords them the chance to get to know Ecuador, study Spanish and take more time over their CELTA studies. Participants on the extensive course achieve consistently high grades.
