Students who have completed the Diploma course and are interested in a management role in the hospitality industry can choose from three possible branches for study.

International Hospitality Management
Programme covering subjects vital to students seeking to develop a successful management career in the hotel industry. Key elements include, food and beverage service and production, rooms division management and housekeeping management.

Hospitality and Events Management
Programme designed for students who aim to specialize in events management. Key elements include, event project planning and management, marketing for events and meetings, incentive and conference markets - MICE.

Hospitality and Tourism Management
Programme for students who wish to specialize in tourism management. Key elements include tourism development, business travel and tourism and destination studies.

AH&LA Certificates/Diploma (American Hotel & Lodging Association)
The education for the Swiss Higher Diploma within SHMS allows students to additionally complete the AH&LA exams. The AH&LA Certificates/Diploma is awarded by an American based Association and the students benefit from an American recognized Certificate/Diploma in the Service Industry.

Programme Duration
Progression from the Swiss Diploma to the Swiss Higher Diploma ; plus one 5 months intensive full-time academic term
