Argentina Spanish Language School
Argentina
- Buenos Aires:
Buenos Aires
Term: Not Applicable
Dates: Generally first Monday of every month
Description:
Orientation You will be given an orientation upon arrival. This will include detailed information about Argentina and the surrounding area. The orientation will also cover all the relevant information about your programme, including safety issues, to ensure that you feel confident and happy in your new surroundings. Accommodation and Meals Living with a host family is a great way to further your learning outside the classroom! Our host families are from a local, middle-class background, and live in safe and attractive areas. You will have a private room, typically with a shared bathroom, and with some families a double room can be requested. Two to three meals a day will be provided, depending on the individual family. Distances to the school vary from a few minutes walk to 45 minutes by public transport. Laundry may or may not be included, depending on the location. Students will be provided with a key to the front door, and are free to come and go as they please. Naturally, respect for the host family's routine is a necessity. All families are carefully selected and must meet stringent requirements to be included on the programme. The families are close friends of the school, and generally have been participating in the project for years, with countless positive evaluations from students! Free Time Argentina boasts many attractions, and the evenings and weekends are free for you to explore. Look out for the information on the activities notice board at the language school as there is always an excursion planned, or head off and enjoy the city and its immediate surroundings and sample the history, museums or markets. If you have time to venture a little further, then the stunning glaciers of Patagonia are not to be missed along with the impressive Iguazu falls on the border of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
