Description:
Students who participate in the Spanish Language, Culture, and Economics Semester Program at the UAB can earn between 12-16 semester credits. The Spanish language courses are offered for beginning (100 levels), intermediate (200 levels), and advanced (300 levels). Students will take a placement exam upon arrival to confirm their language level and placement. In addition to 90 hours of Spanish language, students will choose to take two to three content courses that consist of 45 hours of instruction per course. If you would like to do the Year Program, you simply double the credits. Please email us for more detailed information.

AccommodationESA participants will stay in our specially selected accommodation in central and safe areas of Barcelona. Students can choose to live with a host family, in a shared international student apartment, or an ESA student apartment with other participants. The options depend on availability. Tuition Includes academic advising, courses, and transcript. Orientation The orientation session introduces students to the linguistic, cultural, and academic life in Barcelona. Topics such as public transport, banking, safety, local customs, Catalán language, academics, and interacting with locals, among more topics, will be covered. Participants will receive an orientation handbook to act as a reference for important information about Barcelona and living abroad. Following the informational session, participants will take a history and architecture tour with a guide to learn more about the rich and interesting history of the Barcelona.
