Young Designers and students from related fields that want to gain experience in the world of Furniture Design, Italian Design and New Living Trends.

Millions of pieces of furniture have been created around the world, some of them become pieces of cult, some of them create statements, some of them deliver innovation, some others disappear silently but all of them create all kind of emotions and is in those emotions, where Design makes the difference. That's the main reason why we want to introduce you to Furniture Design; we are devoted to those emotions.

Objective:
The goal of the course is to introduce students into the world of Furniture, understand the importance of it in the field of Design, why everybody wants to design furniture in Italy for Italian companies and most important, to understand the emotions and experiences that a piece of furniture creates around the world in the past in the present and in the future.

Contents:
History of furniture design, History of Italian Design, Ergonomics, New Domesticities, Living trends, Manufacturing Processes, Design Experience.

Methodology:
The course combines a series of lectures and visits with a workshop in which the students will have the opportunity to pull out their creativity to Design furniture.
