Description:
This program is designed for undergraduates and graduates interested in intensive French, German and/or Dutch language training, as well as taking English-taught courses in a variety of subjects, in the heart of Europe. Courses in liberal arts, psychology, communications, business, computing, international relations, sociology, history and culture are also available. All courses and field trips are conducted in English. Coursework is supplemented with professional visits and internships at humanitarian organizations, local businesses and governing bodies. The program includes sightseeing and cultural excursions in Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges, Berlin, Amsterdam, London, and Paris. Depending on course load and internship involvement, students can earn up to 22 credit units towards their undergraduate or graduate degree.
Highlights:
Host Institution: The International Management Institute (IMI) is recognized as a leading business, diplomacy and language school in Belgium, Brussels. Enrollment is limited to 400 students, and the University maintains close student-faculty interaction by capping class size at 20 students. The language of instruction on campus is English. Brussels is the economic and political capital of Europe (and the capital of the EU), with the European Commission, European Parliament, European Investment Bank and NATO located in close proximity to IMI. Belgium has 3 official languages -- French, German and Dutch, making it the perfect location to study European society, global communication, business culture and languages. Courses: Students take the required European Union Seminar (3-credits), select 2 ELCH core courses, and take 1 foreign language course. All other courses are optional. Excursions: Each term, the program includes extensive sightseeing and cultural excursions in Brussels, Antwerp, Bruges, Paris, Berlin, London and Amsterdam. Living: Students live in furnished apartments located in the central district of Brussels, walking distance to classes. Student activities on campus include sports, academic clubs and social events with Belgium and international students.

Cost in US$: Summer=$5,875. Semester=$10,875.
Cost Include Description:
Tuition for the 8-week Summer term is $5,875; Fall term or Spring term tuition is $10,875; Academic Year tuition (Fall and Spring) is $26,825. Tuition includes all academic fees, textbooks, accommodations, internship, on-site support, medical and travel insurance, mobile phone, and extensive excursions in Europe. All forms of federal, state and local financial aid and scholarship awards can be applied towards the program tuition.
