Description:
The goals of this program are to provide health professions students with: * Spanish language skills while simultaneously exposing them to Mexican culture * an exploration of the health care systems of Mexico * exposure to people most likely to migrate to the Unites States * the current circumstances and pressures driving high rates of migration It is the strong desire of the administration and faculty of the College of Health and Human Services that this interdisciplinary project will provide students with sufficient language skills and cultural understanding so that they will choose to serve this population post-graduation.
