This multi-location course provides an introduction to both terrestrial and marine ecosystems in Central America and the Caribbean. The course is taught on-site in Belize, a small country nestled on the southern edge of the Yucatan Peninsula, with Mexico and Guatemala to the north and west and the Caribbean to the east. Course of study may be divided between an inland terrestrial station and a marine site on an offshore cave on the barrier reef in the Caribbean.
