Highlights:
Program Format: Online, Distance Learning Delivery When you enroll in the AMTA program you will be in a cohort, or group, of students who will take courses together on-line while working with professors via the Internet. Everything is electronic, including submitting assignments, classroom discussions, lectures, reading assignments, examinations, and working on projects with teammates. The traditional fixed schedule for classes is replaced by your ability to participate in weekly activities for each course on your own schedule. An electronic grade book keeps you up to date daily on your progress in the course. No Matter Where You Live - You Can Complete This Program! The AMTA program is designed for the working professional and does not require traditional campus-based participation. During the program, students should complete three courses per semester. Other courses, completed over the duration of the program, provide unique opportunities to design individualized study and career objectives. This accelerated delivery system is designed to provide a growing segment of the tourism profession with the opportunity to earn a graduate degree while continuing to work full-time in the industry. Two Four-day Residency Periods Two four-day residency periods - one at the beginning and one at the end of your degree program - are offered in order to better meet the changing education and career development needs of tourism professionals. These residencies, held on-campus at the School of Business, will provide classroom hours, orientation on how to work on-line, access on-line libraries, and be successful in virtual coursework. During this residency period you will have the opportunity to personally meet your professors as well as the other students in your cohort.
