Description:
This three-week summer program provides intensive courses in business and economics, and is a unique program designed specifically to expose students to Asian culture, philosophy and business practices. The International Summer University is open to anyone 20 and above from all over the world with a minimum of 2 years of completed university studies. Many participants just come for a new fun learning experience and to learn more about Asia and Thailand in particular. The Summer University offers the opportunity of credit transfer, subject to approval by your academic institution. Two ECTS (European Credit Transfer System) equivalent credits are awarded for each module. Participating universities from other countries use their individual criteria to award credits. * Course Structure: The three-week summer program allows students to tailor make their own course to meet their needs both in terms of education and price. Module Structure: Module 1: Cross Cultural Awareness Module 2: Tourism in Thailand Module 3: International Business - an Asian perspective Module 4: Emerging Economies in Asia There are 15 hours of instruction for each module In addition to a full academic program, Summer University students can choose excursions and other extracurricular activities planned during their stay. The activities are designed to promote interaction between students, staff and local people.

Lecturers include eminent Business people with a wealth of experience in Economics, Marketing, Tourism, Finance and Government in Thailand and S. E. Asia. - A weekend on an island, Company visits reflecting the diversity of Thai industrial development. - A visit to Tropical Gardens. - A choice of cultural activities: Thai boxing and Thai language survival class. - Accommodation included, staying in three locations: on Asian University campus, near Jomtien; at a seaside hotel in Jomtien and in a hotel in central Bangkok.
