YISA offers all levels of Chinese language instruction through a partnership with Nanjing Normal University in downtown Nanjing. In addition to language, we offer courses in Political Science, Geography, Confucianism, and International Business.

Now is a perfect time to learn more about China. YISA will give you the chance to blend academic study, opportunities for new friendships, great food, travel throughout China, all while living in the vibrant center of Nanjing.

Highlights: Highlights of the YISA program include the location and quality of the student apartments in downtown Nanjing. Students will share three bedroom apartments with wireless internet in a modern apartment complex in the center of the city. You will be within walking distance of hundreds of shops and markets.

Every semester includes trips to Beijing, Shanghai, and other destinations near Nanjing.   

Students will receive a cell phone for calls and text messaging within China.

YISA is a top quality academic program filled with opportunities for students to explore China on their own, with their new classmates in the program, and with their Chinese counterparts at Nanjing Normal University.

Yangtze International Study Abroad's Mission Statement: The Yangtze International Study Abroad program (YISA) is based in Nanjing, China. We are made up of Chinese and American educators who believe in the long term value of relationships formed between American students and their Chinese counterparts. Founded by former professors and administrators from the University of Arizona, the focus of YISA is to improve U.S.-China relations by educating American and Chinese students with an in-depth understanding of each others culture, society, economy, government, and language.
