Description:
This 2-week study abroad program is offered in cooperation with The University of Memphis and designed for undergraduate and graduate nursing students interested in increasing their understanding of international health care issues as they relate to nursing practice and global health policy. The program is open to upper division undergraduate and graduate level nursing students from The University of Memphis and any accredited public or private university. All programs are taught in English!
Highlights:
* Guided tour of the Red Crescent Museum * Visit to the WHO Assembly (to be confirmed) * Visit to the International Council of Nurses * Visit to the University Hospital of Freiburg center of Nursing Education * Visit to the University Hospital of Freiburg (to be confirmed) * Visit to a French health care facility in the Alsace region * Guided tour along the famous Route du Vin including entrance to the Castle Haut Koenigsbourg * Guided tour of the Caracalla Spa in the spa town of Baden Baden * Visit to the Council of Europe in the morning to learn more about health care in the EU (to be confirmed) * Entrance to the Heidelberg Castle and guided tour of the German Pharmacy Museum * Visit to the University Hospital of Heidelberg

In addition to the application information, two letters of reference are required for admittance into the study abroad program. The letters should attest to your character and academic aptitude. Once this form is received, you will be sent additional forms to complete that deal primarily with medical and passport information.
