Description: Tel Aviv, Israels cosmopolitan coastal city, is the location of NYUs newest study abroad center. A thriving metropolis by the Mediterranean Sea, Tel Aviv is Israels financial and technological center and a perfect locale for students to study the nations short yet complicated history. NYU in Tel Aviv offers students the exceptional opportunity to learn about the history and culture of the Middle East while taking part in the traditions of Israels second largest city. Students select from a list of courses that adhere to NYUs high standards. The curriculum focuses on Middle Eastern studies in subjects such as journalism, media, politics, prelaw, and the social sciences. Language courses in Hebrew and Arabic are also available. Faculty members are leaders in their fields and often include established scholars, artists, journalists, and public intellectuals whose internationally valued work transcends traditional disciplinary boundaries.

Highlights: A full-time staff plans trips and excursions to help students engage with local customs. Through cocurricular activities outside the classroom, including internships, volunteer placements, and guest lectures from renowned professionals, students advance their understanding and appreciation of modern Israeli culture.

    Applicants to NYU study abroad programs are generally registered at an accredited college or university in the United States. Students who participate in study abroad programs have completed their freshman year of study and have attained a GPA of at least 3.0.

    This Program is open to American, Australian, Canadian, European, Kiwi, South African and Worldwide Participants.
