Description:
Experience Latin America this summer and make a difference along your journey! Start your summer in the heart of the Inca Empire in Peru. While in Cusco, one of the top international destinations, study with premier Andean professors and support local development projects in health care, social services or economic development. Round out your experience with an unforgettable visit to Incan ruins and the Sacred Valley of the Incas. From there, travel to Oaxaca, Mexico. Explore Pre-Hispanic cultures, Spanish colonial history and modern Mexico in this UNESCO World Heritage site. Coursework includes intensive Spanish and International Studies/Geography. While in Oaxaca, you will also have the opportunity to work on a hands-on development project with local community members. Housing: Accommodations are provided with local Peruvian and Mexican families. Typically students will stay in a private room with a shared bathroom. Most meals will be provided.
