This semester abroad program provides a unique blend of service projects, field research, academic courses, homestay living and cultural activities. You will participate in community-driven, hands-on development projects like supporting a Zapotec women's weaving cooperative, shadowing doctors at local clinics, or helping rural community teachers at Oaxacan schools. You will study with local professors at private university to better understand the history and culture of Oaxaca and Mexico, then explore that diversity by visiting rural villages, Zapotec ruins, museums, art galleries, and festivals in and around Oaxaca. You will immerse yourself in the culture by living with a caring and carefully selected local family.
