Description:
AsiaLearn and Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (APU) offer an intensive 8-week Japanese Language Program which includes English-taught academic courses in Asia Pacific Studies and Business. It also includes cultural activities aimed to expand students knowledge of Japanese and Asia Pacific cultures while deepening intercultural understanding. The program features: * Intensive beginner's to intermediate Japanese language courses (Twelve 95-minute classes per week.) * Academic courses in English (up to three courses) * APU Buddies (participants paired with local students) * Activities on and off campus such as tea ceremony and weekend homestay * Overnight field trip to Nagasaki * Optional tours and activities (additional fee) * Eligibility: Open to all students who have completed at least one year of college credit and have earned a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
Highlights:
Summer study programs are a great option for students who are unable to spend a semester or year abroad due to conflicting obligations during the academic year and those students looking for shorter, less expensive options. Although it is difficult to replicate the advantages and benefits of longer-term study, our programs are designed to give you a deep and meaningful exposure to the country and culture through an academically challenging format. All summer programs are taught in English.
