Description: The Semester in Belize: Anthropology & Archeology program is an opportunity to study various distinctive cultures in a country that is an ideal learning laboratory for contemporary and historical culture studies.

The objective is to develop, through coursework and field activities, an understanding of the challenges faced by a relatively small developing country as it grows into an outstanding example of a very diverse and multicultural society, respecting distinctive cultures and preserving cultural heritage.

* Earn 12-15 credits toward your degree through fully-accredited coursework

* Free time during the semester to allow for independent travel
* Explore a society with distinctive cultural diversity and interactions between the Creole (Kriol), Mestizo, Garifuna, Maya, Amerindian, Chinese, Mennonite, and North American populations
