Highlights: The University also has a centre in Prato, Italy, used as a base to engage closely with European research centers and also to provide the opportunity for undergraduate programs to broaden learning experiences.

Several large projects have positioned the University at the centre of national and international science and technology research. The $207 million Australian Synchrotron, the $300 million Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct that includes the Australian Stem Cell Centre, plus a new electron microscope that is one of the most powerful in the world.

Strategic partnerships with the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Bombay and universities in China and North America will ensure that Monash University has a physical research presence around the world.
