The University of Ulster can best be characterized by the variety it offers. Four campuses, two in or near Belfast (Belfast and Jordanstown), the Magee campus in Northern Irelands second largest city, and one in the regional town of Coleraine. Regardless of which campus you may choose, youll find a vibrant and growing university which provides every opportunity for you to integrate with Irish, British and other international students. Credits Courses may be selected among various departments. You will earn the following hours of credit. * Fall term: 12 credits. * Fall and spring semester: 15 credits. * Academic year: 30 credits.

If you want to take particular advantage of your time spent in Northern Ireland, the University offers a large number of engaging courses in Irish history, politics, language, and literature. Like many North American students, you may find the Universitys offerings in peace and conflict studies to be particularly compelling. The University's comprehensive academic offerings and variety of four campus locations are popular among local students, though not as well known to those from North America. Your distinctness as a North American student will be valued and welcomed, and youll spend many memorable hours gaining insight into the rich cultural tapestry of Northern Irelands dual traditionsIrish and British, Catholic and Protestant, Gaelic and English. You can choose to study at any one of the Universitys four campuses. Each campus will give you the flexibility to choose courses from any department that interests you; however, to maximize your study time and social opportunities, you need to pursue all of your coursework on one campus only. Most classes are taught in a lecture format, with an emphasis on supplemental tutorial sessions. For a full-time course load, you can expect to take about three courses per semester or term.

Scholarships are Available. Scholarships and Financial Aid are a major part of our commitment to access for all students. Arcadia offers more than 1.5 million dollars in scholarships annually in amounts from 500 USD to 2,000 USD. A financial aid coordinator is also on-staff to provide help to students who require individual consortium agreements or need Arcadia to process federal financial aid for them.
