Independent Homestay

Description:
CCI's Independent Homestay Program focuses exclusively on the short-term homestay experience. Participants gain special insight into the host country's society through experiencing daily life, customs, and values. Welcoming volunteer host families provide room and board and friendship for 1 - 4 weeks. Participants will be received as a member of the family and will be involved in the daily activities of that family. Participants will also have opportunites to go off and explore the host community independently.

Complete cultural immersion through the homestay experience. Great opportunity to practice conversational skills!
Cost in US$: $1000 - $1500

Room and board with host family, support of local rep and CCI National Office, medical insurance.

Based in Chicago, Illinois, CCI organizes cultural exchange programs for participants of all ages, including high school abroad, independent homestay, internship, language study, eco-tours and volunteer programs in over thirty countries around the world.
