Limerick is definitely one of the premier destinations in the world for any young man or woman wishing to develop as a player. Located in the Shannon region in Midwest Ireland, Limerick is a vibrant city of considerable historic and literary interest. Spend your semester abroad studying at the University of Limerick, located on the outskirts of town along the River Shannon. At the University of Limerick you are able to study a wide range of subjects including business, humanities, Irish studies and equine science. The University of Limerick is known for their world-class sporting facilities which are utilized by the many sporting clubs and societies on campus. CIS now offers a Fall Semester Rugby Abroad program at UL in which you will train and play with the Bohemian Rugby Club at a level comparable with skill.
Highlights:
The University of Limerick operates on a semester calendar which matches the US academic calendar. You will register for 5 modules (courses) per semester, with each module worth 3 credits for a total of 15 UL credits. You will be able to study courses from across the six colleges at the University of Limerick which include: Business, Education, Humanities, Engineering, Informatics and Electronics and Science. Rugby Study Abroad Option - Fall Semester Only The Rugby Study Abroad program provides student-athletes the opportunity combine an academic study abroad experience with their athletic passion rugby. Rugby players of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in this program, as the University of Limerick (UL) Bohemian Rugby Club offers different levels of competition and skill level. Students participating in the UL Rugby Study Abroad Program receive all items in the CIS Limerick Program Package (see right panel) as well as: full membership of UL Bohemians RFC and associated privileges; a selection of UL Bohemians playing and leisure gear; professional assessment of ability in rugby and attachment to appropriate UL team; tickets for two representative matches featuring Munster Rugby Club and a ticket for one Ireland international match.

Scholarship - Through this program scholarship awards varying from $200 to $500 per semester are available to academically qualified students who are participating in any CIS semester. CIS Partner University Scholarships - Through this program scholarship awards varying from $500 to $1,000 per semester are available to academically qualified students who are participating in this program.
