Politics, Culture and Art Studies: Prague, Czech Republic - USAC
Czech Republic
Term: Academic Year, Fall, Spring, Summer
Dates: Fall: August - December, Spring: January - May, Summer: May - June, June-July
Description:
The Czech Republic program combines academic coursework with the experience of living in a extraordinary medieval city. Prague is an open textbook of modern and traditional literature, art, architecture and culture. The program is held at Charles University, one of the oldest universities in Europe, which looks up to the Prague Castle and Straka's Academy, the seat of the Czech government and the office of its president. The residence hall, where you will stay during the program, is in an interesting area that is diverse and lively. Good inexpensive restaurants, several stores and a post office are in the vicinity. The six-week summer program is ideal for those who wish to experience Central Europe but cannot attend a semester or yearlong program.
Highlights:
During your stay, take the Vienna and Budapest tour and see what the capitals of Austria and Hungary have to offer. Several one-day field trips provide even more opportunities to see the sights within the Czech Republic.
