Description: Founded in 1995, Study Abroad Italy (SAI) offers US and international students the finest English-speaking programs available in Italy, with a wide choice of curriculum. There are no language requirements to attend any of SAI's programs.

Because our focus is entirely on Italy, SAI is considered the most comprehensive organization for Italy study abroad programs. We enroll more students for study abroad in Italy than any other US office. Located in California, with additional sites in New York City and Austin. SAI is the main enrollment office for six of the finest college programs in Italy; processing admissions and registration, providing accommodation, visa and travel advising, student services and answers to your general questions. Students earn US college credits attending any of our programs.

Highlights: Study Abroad Italy (SAI) oversees and coordinates all aspects of your enrollment including application processing, course selection and credit, visa preparation, housing, student health insurance, transcripts, and cell phone service. SAI also provides comprehensive student services, beginning with pre-departure and leading to our on-site orientation and advising in Italy.

Semester Programs Include:

* 15 weeks in Italy (September-December or January-May)
* Tuition & US academic credit for up to 15 credit hours of solid academic course offerings comparable to your home college
* Carefully selected living accommodations in clean, pleasant lodgings located near the school

* Dedicated on-site SAI Program Coordinator providing personal assistance throughout the semester
* 24-hour emergency support line
* Orientation: three day orientation

Scholarships are Available.  Study Abroad Italy is pleased to offer scholarships each academic year. These scholarships are open to all Study Abroad Italy participants who meet the eligibility requirements. Florence University of the Arts * One Full Semester Tuition Scholarship * One 50% Semester Tuition Scholarship (representing a portion of the Program Cost) Study Abroad Italy and Florence University of the Arts, together, offer these need and merit based scholarships in Fall and Spring Semesters. John Cabot University * One Full Semester Tuition Scholarship These need and merit based scholarships are offered in both Fall and Spring Semesters. Mediterranean Center * One Full Semester Tuition Scholarship (representing a portion of the Program Cost) Study Abroad Italy and the Mediterranean Center offer this need and merit based scholarships in both Fall and Spring Semesters. Apicius - International School of Hospitality * One Full Semester Tuition Scholarship (representing a portion of the Program Cost) SAI and Apicius together offer this need and merit based scholarship in both Fall and Spring Semesters. The scholarships listed below are offered to students attending any SAI program: Religious Studies Scholarship * One Religious Studies Scholarship of USD500. This scholarship is available annually to a semester student enrolled in at least one Religious Studies course at any of our schools. Chiara Scholarships * Two USD6,000 Scholarships; Chiara Scholarships Need and merit based scholarships offered for the Fall and Spring semesters. The recipient will receive USD6,000, applied towards Program Cost. Generously offered to SAI students by the Chiara family in support Italy and its heritage. It is their desire to offer an educational experience of studying in Italy to deserving students with evident financial need. Summit State Bank Scholarship * Summit State Bank of California generously provides a Fall semester scholarship of USD2,500. The requirement for this scholarship is that the student be a resident of Northern California.
