Description: You want to learn about European matters in an international setting? Gain a specific insight into the questions and challenges of Turkish-European relations? Get to know and discuss with interesting people from all over the world? Visit a new country? Apply for our summer university in Istanbul, Turkey! The course lasts three weeks and is aimed at graduate students and young professionals. For particularly qualified candidates we do also consider the application of students in their second or third year of university studies. Working language is English.

The course is organised by the Centre international de formation européenne in cooperation with the Istanbul Bilgi University and with the financial support of the Robert Bosch Stiftung.

Topics are among others: EU internal Policies; EU external policies; Turkish foreign policy towards the Middle East and Asia; EU - deepening and enlargement; Turkey today; EU and Turkey in international organisations; Accession negotiations; Europe in the long run: where do we go?

Centre International de Formation Europeenne (CIFE)'s Mission Statement: The Centre International de Formation Europeenne (CIFE) is a private, non-profit making international organisation. It was founded in 1954 with the aim to train professionals and citizens in the subject of a united Europe. CIFE offers postgraduate university courses, summer university programmes and an online Master programme in EU Studies. It organises seminars and conferences and publishes a quarterly review and various publications. Every year, CIFE offers summer university courses in different Eastern European countries and in Turkey. Topics cover different European matters.
