Description:
This program features a four week course of intensive language and civilization classes on the French Riviera, 25 miles from the Italian border. An added feature for 2006 is a Broadcasting course option, in which students produce a documentary about life in France. Numerous faculty-led excursions are included in Nice as well as to Monaco, Aix and Antibes. Open to all levels of French ability, with courses taught in both English and in French. Students are free to explore neighboring French and Italian cities on the weekends, and numerous local excursions are included in the program cost. There is an optional group excursion to Paris.
Highlights:
All students register for two courses for a total of 6 credits from Montclair State University. Each student selects two courses from the following: French language course, Mediterranean civilization course, or Broadcasting course. The language courses range from beginning through an advanced workshop. This program includes numerous field trips in and near Nice. Advanced level students may take a civilization course on a topic to be announced, which is taught in French.
