University Attributes:
MSU offers In-State tuition to all the International Students during the first semester. To obtain in-state tuition in the remaining semesters, the students needs to maintain 2.5 GPA and 25 hours of cultural contribution hours. We have a newly built International Center, with 9 professional staff, Graduate Assistants and Student workers assisting International students who are at MSU or students who are considering MSU and US students/faculty/staff who wants to study abroad. We are are here to help our International Students and U.S students in their future career and dreams of traveling abroad and dreams of obtaining an U.S education. Cost Include Description:
Tuition & Fees USD 6,400 Room and Borad USD 5,985 Health Insurance USD 1,000Total USD 13,385 This is a basic cost estimate. In-state tuition is for International Students. In-State tuition is an automatic for the first semester, to obtain in remaining semester International Student must maintain 2.5 GPA and contribute 25 hours of volunteer work to obtain in-state tuition. Tuition is for 12-18 credits for both spring and Fall. Other expenses vary depending on to individual spending habits. This amount does not include cost of books, orientation fee (USD 55) and Misc Expenses which the student may have.

No experience is required. However, previous work history will benefit students when applying for on-campus student employment and Graduate Assistantships or Teaching Assistantships.

* In-State Cultural Contribution Scholarship
All new International Students will pay In-State during their first semester. This scholarship makes the tuition and fees USD 3,200 (for 12 -18 credits). But students will have to maintain a GPA of 2.5 and contribute 25 hours of volunteer work to Mankato Community and/or MSU Campus.
* International Student Endowment Scholarship (ONLY for International students)
This scholarship is available ONLY after you have been at MSU for more than two semester. Students must have a 3.2 or higher GPA and with an impressive resume, with contribution to the community and MSU.
* Departmental Scholarships
Each Department will host their own scholarship programs (i.e. College of Science Engineering and Technology, College of Business). You must directly be in contacts with your adviser and students must be a student at MSU for more than two or more semester.
