Description: This summer, join World Endeavors in northern Spain for an intensive language program that does much more than simply teach the Spanish language. Our summer program in Valladolid is more than a Spanish language course- it's similar to a seminar on how to live a Spanish life. This ancient town, far from the beaten tourist track, offers each student their own personal cultural revelation. From homestays with local families to cultural activities to a picturesque, charming location in the city center, Valladolid is the ideal place to learn about and actually live the Spanish lifestyle. You'll be surrounded by Spanish people and have innumerable opportunities to make friendships that cross boundaries and can last a lifetime. Gain a true appreciation for a culture and make the acquaintance of a city that you'll never want to leave. Study Spanish this summer with World Endeavors in Valladolid!

Highlights: Participants will stay with local Spanish host families.

The summer sessions are intended to be an intensive language seminar in which participants have the opportunity to learn a great deal of Spanish in a short amount of time. Classes are held for 20 hours per week and cover grammar, conversation, culture, and comprehension. All levels of Spanish students, from beginners to advanced speakers, will be placed in the courses that are most suitable to their speaking abilities.

In addition, activities are organized in the afternoons and weekends for participants to learn more about the region surrounding Valladolid and Spanish culture. 3 Saturday excursions to places of interest around Spain are guided by a member of the Art History faculty and are to internationally-recognized locations, some of which are World-Heritage sites. Destinations change from year to year, but some past destinations have included:
- Salamanca
- Ruta de los Castillos
- Segovia
- Avila
